About Tomboy

Tomboy Design Lab was founded by three sisters who combined their shared love for art, design, and entrepreneurship. The name Tomboy was chosen as a playful nod to their father's dream of always wanting a son, but ended up with three artsy tomboys instead.

Tomboy Design Lab is the speakeasy of the design world. We believe that popularity breeds mediocrity, and we may not be everyone's cup of tea. We design for the rebellious, unconventional, boundary-breaking visionaries who know what they like and know what they don't.

Every project is unparalleled to the next, and we can do just about anything in the art field. But we focus on painting commercial and residential murals, renting out our 5-star production studios, and offering a range of design services from interiors to graphics, web design, and tangible art. Whatever genre you choose, Tomboy Design Lab will produce distinctly stunning results every time.

  • TAYLOR VALDES

    Co-Founder & Design Lead

    Taylor is the oldest (and wisest) sister. She is a double-Virgo, vegetarian, mom of 2, who wears her black sheep badge with honor. As an interior design major, she has a boundless love for diy projects and thrifting. When she’s not chasing her kids around, you can find her on the lake catching an 8 lb bass or running your dad off the poker table. @5oshadesoftay

  • SERINA FRIZZELL

    Co-Founder & Design Lead

    Serina is the classic middle child. She loves math, art, and football. While her degree is in Architecture, she found the real-world profession to be repetitive, monotonous, and lacking creativity. To quench her creative thirst, she enjoys designing and building furniture, making portraits out of dice, and re-designing her house every season. @frizzerina

  • KENNEDY VALDES

    Co-Founder & Graphics Lead

    As the baby sis, Kennedy never rejected the trendy hand-me-downs and takes pride in being the spunky rebellious last born. With a knack for graphic design, she has paved her own path working with internationally renowned brands. Ken prefers carbs over cardio and considers herself an amateur sommelier. @kennedyvaldes
